Boys Town Heals Families

When a family is in crisis, it’s the children who suffer the most. That’s why every family — no matter how deep its troubles, or no matter the cause of the crisis — deserves a chance to be saved. And today, there are more families than ever finding themselves on the brink.

Boys Town reaches out to help these families…lifting them up, healing their wounds and putting them on the path to a brighter future. The underlying belief is that families have the potential to be healed and that they should, whenever possible, remain together.

We reach out to families in the midst of crisis, providing Boys Town's in-home family services, that can help heal their issues. The Boys Town Hotline is another resource for guidance when parents feel like they have no where else to turn.

We also provide proactive care and resources such as parenting.org, our Common Sense Parenting program and Boys Town Press, to educate parents on how to effectively raise a child and build a family in today’s complex world.

  • Boys Town In-Home Family Services sends professionally trained Consultants into homes to provide care and support to families of all backgrounds. No matter what the underlying cause — economic hardship, substance abuse, marital issues, family conflicts, health challenges or others — Family Consultants work with parents to help them improve their parenting skills by providing teaching and guidance while building their network of resources. Learn more about In-Home Family Services.
  • Parenting.org is a free online resource that provides practical, skill-based materials and information for parents and caregivers of children of all ages. Visit parenting.org.
  • The Boys Town National HotlineSM (800.448.3000) is a free resource and counseling service that assists parents 24/7, year-round, nationwide. The hotline receives about 150,000 calls a year. Learn more about the Boys Town National Hotline.
  • Common Sense Parenting® provides parents and other caregivers with proven techniques that can help them build good family relationships, prevent and correct misbehavior and improve positive behavior. These informative classes are usually presented in the community and at schools.
